Job Description:

The Junior Accountant for our Hanoi, Vietnam office will be responsible for all aspects of finance for Fortna, Vietnam, with the direction of our Chief Accountant. This includes paying invoices, issuing invoices to clients, payroll, month end closing, quarterly reporting, working with local tax and union authorities and preparation of annual reports. This position must maintain a detailed understanding of all aspects of accounting and labor laws that will affect the financial position of the Company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Keeping up to date with all laws and regulations that will impact the company
  • Ensuring all data is entered into FAST accounting software accurately and is kept up to date
  • Following up and manage cash flow and bank transactions
  • Processing monthly payroll
  • Preparing month end reporting
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, yearly tax reports and other required reports from local authorities
  • Working with external auditors to prepare annual report
  • Working with the local tax departments, union, and other related authorities
  • Coordinating with US based accountant to provide information as required
  • Performing other duties assigned by Chief of Accountant

Experience and Skills:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance or other related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience at similar role, preferably in a professional international company.
  • Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal communications
  • Time-sensitive, high transaction based processing experience
  • Proficient in FAST accounting software
  • Willingness to assist in a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally
  • Prior experience working for a US company is a plus
