Job Description:

We are currently hiring a 6 month contract to FT Software Developer. Primary responsibilities: designing, developing and supporting the Fortna product suite. The Developer will collaborate with system team to delivery client projects, and client support team to support software issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Participating in Software Design, Coding, Review, Testing and Integration on Client’s projects.
  • Assisting Software QA and Infrastructure Engineers in Qualifying, Deploying and Packaging Company’s software product and libraries.
  • Assisting Software QA in development of component and project test plans and test automation.
  • Collaborating with other team members to foster a team atmosphere.
  • Maintaining high quality software source code and documentation.
  • Providing remote support and troubleshooting for Client's systems.

Experience and Skills:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or related field
  • Java development experience with a demonstrated track record of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
  • Experience with JSE/JEE/J2EE
  • Experience with JPA and JMS
  • Understanding of distributed architectures
  • Experience in thick-client and Web UI paradigms
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies is a plus
  • Knowledge of EJB3 is a plus
  • Strong customer-service orientation
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
