Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The SharePoint Online Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of the SharePoint environment, including design, performance and security of the portal. Under the direction of the Director of Information Technologies, the SharePoint Online Administrator will configure user access, build departmental and project subsites, define content types, facilitate metadata tagging, configure document retention policies and maintain governance of the portal.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Creating and editing SharePoint sites and templates
  • Creation and management of Metadata and Content Types
  • Configuration and creation of Web Parts/Apps
  • Configuration and optimization of Enterprise Search
  • Cross-Site Publishing
  • Management of SharePoint permissions and access for both for internal and external users
  • Analyzing and reporting on SharePoint usage and activity, and monitoring trends in usage, growth, disk space, etc.
  • Designing and building Workflows for business processes using Nintex Workflow or future application
  • Training Associates on the use of SharePoint both from an End-user perspective and for designated content/site controllers.
  • Regular review, clean-up, migration, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts, sites and data.
  • Creating alerts and enforcing policies
  • Identifying and reporting governance violations
  • User Profile Service
  • Business Intelligence

 

Experience and Skills:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years direct experience implementing and supporting Microsoft SharePoint as an Administrator
  • Experience with SharePoint Online in Office365, or On-Premises versions 2013/2016
  • Experience building and managing SharePoint workflows
  • Fundamental Understanding of:
    • Microsoft Best Practices for SharePoint Administration
    • Document retention and archiving policies/best practices
  • Experience with web languages such as HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the major SharePoint migration tools such as Sharegate, Migration Wiz, DocAve, or Metalogix
  • Ability to document and communicate important items in a clear and concise manner for the benefit of a non-technical audience
  • Ability to listen and respond to questions and issues in a positive and timely manner
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality
  • Willingness to take ownership of projects and job responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
