This position will be primarily responsible for supervision of regional accounting staff which includes: maintaining the General Ledger; preparing external and internal financial statements; managing taxes; managing accounts payable/receivable; and supporting the Project Accounting team with respect to Project Accounting. This role will also provide technical financial leadership to ensure sound internal controls, budgeting, and financial management.


  • Executing financial reporting by preparing and analyzing quarterly, monthly and annual statements to ensure that financial information is recorded accurately to the appropriate requesting authorities in accordance with US and country specific Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Maintaining General Ledger by reconciling internal accounts; ensuring journal entries are made in a timely manner; and conducting month end closing.
  • Being responsible for the management of the accounts payable/receivable and the associated processes and activities.
  • Being responsible for management of Tax filings.
  • Planning, managing and controlling foreign exchange exposure.
  • Providing training and development support to the local accounting staff.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.


Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relatable degree
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience
  • 2 to 4 years of management experience
  • Experience working with and managing accounting software
  • Fully bilingual in local language and English
  • Strong computer skills
  • Good experience of conforming with external compliance requirements (e.g., VAT, income tax, payroll tax, and foreign exchange transaction reporting requirements)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job


  • Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • Experience with USA GAAP accounting requirements
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP package
